Vegas has implemented fades (in-out) in the similar matter as well, but they're constantly present, so you'd just have to drag the beginning or end to a certain measure (in seconds:frames) and right-clicking bring up curvature options for fading - makes fading between videos (and audio) much easier.īut personally, I think Acid's approach would be far better for Orion, and this video on YT shows just how easy they are. That sort of thing could work with Orion as well. To this day, I still say that Acid has a pretty good idea and way of dealing with envelopes - be it manually adding or recording automations - and it's very simple to use.
Just the same as it would apply for this topic, for that to happen, there would have to be some very fundamental changes inside Orion, and that's something Rich hasn't expressed a great interest in dealing with so far, apart from an Automation Tracks attempt, which has been removed. I'm sure there are work intensive detailed "work-around" ways to achieve similar results in orion, but i don't think it would be easy and i would want to VISUALIZE the wavforms to line up the phase of the 2 sounds like i saw in this video. I do not want to have to learn a new DAW - orion is it for me. He was able to zoom WAY in (even more than i can currently zoom in with orion) to line up the phase of the 2 samples as well.
He took 2 kick drum samples put them on 2 AUDIO TRACKS, chopped the tail off of one kick drum, chopped the attack off the 2nd kick drum, and used a crossfade to blend the 2 remaining pieces together perfectly and seamlessly with no clicks.Ĭrossfade meaning he put a fade out on the attack kick sample, and a fade in on the tail kick sample. I just watched a tutorial video from a producer using logic or some other DAW (didnt really recognize it as all i use is orion - lol)
